SAP4GDO, the solution to manage relations with the large-scale retail trade

Our clients are suppliers of the large scale distribution.


THE NEED

The complexity of the sales relationships that regulate the supply to large-scale retailers require the adoption of planning and control tools able to determine the impact of the agreed promotional and incentive policies at all times.

The client also needs to:

  • work with tools and business logics specific to relations with large-scale retailers;
  • have a flexible and complete calculation and accounting tools to manage the enormous complexity associated with relations with large-scale retailers.


THE SOLUTION

We decided to make the most of SAP’s standard product in order to offer maximum guarantees of calculation and alignment with its evolution. We then introduced ad hoc items to meet the specific needs of those who work with large-scale retailers.

The main features are the following:

  • the contract as the only business tool to manage business relationships with large-scale retailers in a complete and timely manner.
  • management of the hierarchical organizational structure of the entire distribution chain to set up business conditions and calculation of bonuses at each hierarchical level.
  • control and analysis of sales turnover and accrued bonuses with the detail of unpaid installments, amounts advanced, liquidated and invoiced bonuses.
  • specific dashboard for bonus management.
  • settlement of the accrued bonuses through a credit note and / or a passive invoice.

IMPLEMENTATION PHASES

Initial analysis phase and drafting of technical specification documents.

Implementation of the SAP4GDO Model with possible customizations.

Periodic validations, Integration Test.


THE GO-LIVE

The transition to the production environment was carried out progressively before the go-live in order to allow users to upload data so as not to have any stop. At go-live, the old programs were turned off and the new system was activated.
