A sportsware outwear switch to Centric 8 PLM

The customer is an Italian OEM company that operates internationally as a creative, technical and productive partner of the largest fashion brands in the world, with specific dedication to sportswear outwear of high quality. The company also holds a private label.


The company was founded in 1983 as a handcrafted product of leather goods, with the arrival of a new property changes its business philosophy, combining innovation of materials and techniques with history of design.

THE NEED

The customer was looking for a tool that was fully configurable and that could be adapted to the needs of his own reality.

The wide configurability of the PLM centric 8 solution has guaranteed the acceleration of business operations, following an accurate study of business processes by SYSDAT.IT and a search for the most suitable solutions. The customer switched to PLM centric 8 from a PLM competitor.

Complete customization of views, data organization and reports created by the user.

Management of processes, flows and information necessary for product development from the concept phase to the industrialization, whether it is a material, a semi-finished product or a finished product.
The system allows the feeding of organized data in hierarchical way and usable, based on roles and authorizations, from all the business departments in transversal way.Management and definition of the
costs of production and sale of the finished products through the management of quotations, the definition of BOM and cost scenarios.

The web-based application is also usable outside the company itself, thus offering the possibility to collaborate with external parties.
Interfacing with the Optitex CAD system from which the consumption of the cutting materials used for garments are imported.



KEY ELEMENTS OF THE PROJECT

The delivery of the project took place in good time.

PLM configuration to implement customer logic in terms of data, materials and semi-finished products, product history, price management, product BOM management, cost scenario management.
Performing an initial bulk load from another PLM to import the data present in the previously used system.
Creation of a data export flow to the company ERP.

METHODOLOGY

The implementation of the project was carried out according to the AGILE methodology.
Each module of the application has been customized to specific business requirements dictated by the customer.
We have released each module in independent and sequential phases one from the other in order to allow the use of the module to the business departments in a
progressive way.
The benefit of this methodology has also been to
anticipate the testing and validation phases of the releases, while ensuring the total usability of the PLM in a functional way to all the objectives defined in the project plan.
